The more emails and phone calls the Town Meeting Members receive, the more likely they are to vote yes. This should take less than 5 minutes. Here is a suggested message to send:

Subject: Vote Yes to BHS!

Dear TMM,

I am asking for your support of the BHS Building project because it is an important investment in our town. Please vote yes to fund the BHS Building Project on September 29th.

Here are some of the reasons why I think we need a new high school building:

  • The building had outlived its HVAC system – breakdowns could force expensive emergency repairs and disrupt student learning.
  • Renovation-only would cost almost as much as the proposed project.
  • Construction costs will continue to rise – if we wait, it will become even more expensive
  • Current science labs are outdated from the 1970s.
  • No modern fire suppression system.
  • Half of the classrooms do not have windows or natural light, which is not conducive to learning.

Please vote yes to fund the BHS building project at the Sept. 29th Town Meeting. The future of our students depends on you. Thank you for your support.
